If you’ve always had a dream to live among the little green men on Mars, the days are numbered until you can tell those little green fellas…”I’m hoooommmmmme.”

I just read a story that Amanda Congdon has been let go by ABCNews. To that I say, BIG DEAL!
I hope she comes back to the Internet where she belongs.
If this proves one thing too me it is that the Internet is for the most part a level playing ground. Will she have the same size audience that she potentially had on ABC? Not right now but the other thing to consider is that all of the audience she has on the net is entirely hers, she does not have to have it filtered through all of the various channels and loops that were required to transition from the Internets biggest celebrity to another face on a network.
This is a great day for her and I am confident she will advance beyond what she could have with ABC.
To prove my point about the Internet being a level playing ground check out this story about Ashley Qualls who at 17 years of age is making millions of dollars per year through her MySpace Page and through a site she created called WhateverLife.
We’ll be watching to see where Amanda lands and where Ashley goes.
From time to time I like to browse around the various stats that Google collects. They are actually pretty powerful for what they are. Today I was reading the stats of what music people who use GoogleTalk are listening to around the world.
The list was surprising to some degree. Bands like Led Zepplin, Iron Maiden and a few others were getting serious play around the world, placing in the top 20!
On the top right corner of the page you can select a specific nation to look at. I’ve always had a soft spot for Canada so I decided to check out the online listening habits of those folks who use GoogleTalk from the Great White North.
Here they are, the top 20 songs listened to in Canada.

Notice anything even slightly odd about that list?
Is Canada going through the same commercialized revival that America went through over the last 30 years?
Interesting results to say the least.
What’s your answer to WHY these songs are showing up as the top 20 songs listened to by GoogleTalk users in Canada.
Look at this new concept car. I am certain some of you have seen it before but I JUST saw this on Yahoo.com and thought I would show it off to the folks that visit my site.
The Carver One. It may not be the GREEN answer for the next hot auto but it sure looks like fun!
For those of you who read my blog yesterday or read accounts of others who were waiting in line for their golden iPhone ticket like they were trying to enter into Willie Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, you can put an end to the shakes, sweats and trembles you undoubtedly have when contemplating the possibilities of facing the path to your very own iPhone.
In a clear stroke of genius (note heavy sarcasm) Apple has posted online what stores have iPhones available…they did so initially too but the UBBER GEEKS who just have to have this phone ignored the power of available technology and opted to wait in line, slug it out and wrestle round for their very own Golden Ticket…It’s so nice to see that technology hasn’t changed the nature of keeping up with the Jones’s.
On most accounts the HYPE around the iPhone is more significant than the reality of what it offers. Still, it is more technology than I could handle…the numbers on the front of my VCR still flash…yeah, I still have a VCR too! That aside, I still think the commercial is cool and it will be interesting to see what a couple weeks with the iPhone will do for or too the people who get them.
I also read where Microsoft is still working on their own version of the iPhone which I am curious to see side by side with the iPhone but only because of how the battle went down on the iPod and Zune.
